Description: Foris delivers cloud solutions based on Artificial Intelligence and consulting services to optimize critical processes in Higher Education.

At Foris we develop a suite of cloud solutions based on AI for higher education institutions, aimed at improving the digital experience of students, teachers and administrative teams, optimizing resources and automating key processes. 

We are a bootstrapped EdTech with more than 9 years of sustained growth.Today our solutions impact more than a million students in 10 countries in Latin America and Spain. 

Today we are in a stage of platform expansion.Our focus is on strengthening the core of the product and expanding its capabilities to support increasingly critical academic flows, which involve students, teachers and academic staff, and that sustain the daily operation of the university.

Unlike traditional academic solutions, at Foris we are committed to a modern, data-oriented platform, designed to integrate, scale and evolve by incorporating advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.

• Solid training in the fundamentals of software engineering and/or computer science, with practical experience building real solutions.In particular:
  • Knowledge of the complete systems development cycle.
  • Familiarity with architectural patterns (e.g. MVC, Client-Server) and programming paradigms (OOP and functional programming).
• Experience programming in Python.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs (REST and/orGraphQL).
• Proficiency in relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL (advanced queries, optimization and indexes).
• Experience using Docker.
• Experience developing software and implementing algorithms to solve complex problems (e.g. automation, planning, search, classification, recommendation, clustering).
• Skills incollaboration:
  • Ability to express technical issues and ideas in a simple, precise and adapted way to the interlocutor.
  • Write code and technical specifications intended for others to read, accompanied by clear documentation.
  • Ability to give and receive feedback, learn and adjust your way of working to effectively integrate into the team.
• Comfort reading, writing and listening to content in technical English (B2 equivalent).

We are looking for a person with experience building scalable backend services and integrating AI components, who combines technical excellence with the ability to design clean and maintainable solutions.Someone who investigates how things work, who designs solutions designed for the long term and who understands that in the era of code wizards, design, judgment and attention to detail make the difference.

You will be part of the complete cycle: design, development, deployment, testing and maintenance, working together with engineering, product, consulting and infrastructure teams to take our services to the next level.We care that you understand how each service fits into the suite's ecosystem, make informed decisions, and contribute to the technical conversation as someone who solves problems, not just writes code.

You will work in an autonomous team, with a focus on quality and scalability.You will participate in technical decisions, documenting your process and sharing your solutions, specifications and reasoning with the engineering team and its stakeholders.Each of your contributions will contribute to our knowledge base, impact our engineering culture and ultimately thousands of users
