None
- Actual experience with Azure in production — specifically some of the Container Apps / ACR / API Management / PostgreSQL / VNets combo. If your experience is strong in AWS or GCP but with a desire and demonstrated ability to learn Azure quickly, we are also interested in talking.
- Terraform in a team context, not just personal scripts: reusable modules, remote state management, PR flow with plan/apply.
- Docker and containers in production.
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI orsimilar).
- Python, with enough ease to read and contribute code in a real Django/DRF backend (you don't need to be a Django specialist from day one, but you do need to program judiciously).
- Solid notions of JavaScript/TypeScript, to be able to collaborate on a Next.js/React frontend when necessary.
- Experience with messaging/queuing systems (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Redis as a broker) —You will help introduce asynchronous processing where it does not exist today.
- Infrastructure security criteria: private networks, secret management, principle of least privilege.
- Fluent Spanish;technical English to read documentation.
About UWIGO
UWIGO (developed by Informat) is an ERP for Chilean companies that covers accounting, electronic invoicing (integrated with the SII), treasury and remuneration. The product runs on Asgard, a Django monolith with more than a decade of evolution, which today coexists with a new generation of services: a BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) built on the same backend and a new frontend in Next.js that is gradually replacing the classic interface. The entire infrastructure runs on Microsoft Azure, managed as code with Terraform, and the ecosystem is growing towards a microservices architecture (auth-service, scraping/integration services with the SII, and others that come).
What are you going to do
Infrastructure and deployment
Maintain and evolve the infrastructure as code in Terraform and manage the services used in Azure (Container Apps, ACR, API Management, PostgreSQL and virtual networks).Incorporate new microservices to the platform, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitHub and Bitbucket, and progressively strengthen infrastructure security (TLS, networks, secrets and managed identities).
Manage end-to-end observability using New Relic and Azure tools, and implement asynchronous messaging solutions to optimize integrations and processes todaysynchronous, evaluating technologies such as Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ or Redis.
Development
Support the team with backend development in Django REST Framework and Asgard, operational scripts and specific tasks in Next.js, mainly related to backend integration, authentication and environment configuration.
Also participate in decisionstransversal techniques between infrastructure and development, ensuring correct integration between architecture, deployment and applications.
Why join
- You will have real ownership over the infrastructure of a product in production with real customers, not a testing environment.
- The new frontend (Next.js) and the BFF layer are just taking shape — there is real room to define how things are done, not just to follow an already written manual.
- You will work closely with the backend and frontend team, not isolated in an "infra" silo.
Nice to have
- Previous experience with ERPs, accounting/tax systems or integrations with the SII (Chilean Internal Revenue Service).
- Experience managing PostgreSQL beyond the consumer role (tuning, backups, migrations).
- Use of New Relic or other APM platforms.
- Knowledge of OAuth2/JWT applied to the design of authentication betweenservices.
- Experience migrating from a monolith to microservices.
- Using Pika (RabbitMQ Python client) or equivalent libraries to consume/publish queues from Django.
- Experience with Celery or another asynchronous task system for Python.
