Description: About the position The communication platform is part of the foundation for the police's digital services. It must ensure that services are available to the right users, while at the same time traffic is managed, controlled and protected. We are looking for you who are motivated by this complexity. You understand how networks, security, platforms and applications work together, and know what is required to develop solutions that will be stable and secure over time. With us, you get to work with a large hybrid infrastructure, high requirements for availability and security and technical dependencies that go across our own data centers and cloud. As a Platform Engineer, you will be part of the team that develops, manages and operates the police's communication platform. The team is responsible for secure external access to and publication of services and applications. An important part of the task is to make the platform more standardized, automated and self-serviced, so that development teams can deliver faster without compromising security or control. You will both immerse yourself in demanding technical issues and influence how the platform will be developed further. This is a role for you who like to understand the entire traffic flow, find the reason when complex solutions do not work as expected, and translate operational experience into lasting improvements and code. You will be part of the Infrastructure Section, a professional environment of around 90 employees who work in interdisciplinary teams with shared responsibility, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Although we primarily recruit for the Team Communication Platform, the structure is flexible, and changes in teams or tasks can take place as needs change.
