Software Engineer (Python, Django)

TripleBlind is creating a suite of privacy tools which allow data and algorithms to securely come together in a way never before possible. Data remains encrypted even while operations are being performed on it, and even the algorithm may be encrypted to hide proprietary intellectual property. Through these technologies, we are building the world’s first Privacy API. Our marketplace brings together data sellers, researchers, software providers and consumers - all protected by mathematically guaranteed “privacy as a service”.

 

We are looking to expand the engineering team with a Python developer with experience in Django. You will be joining the existing team to build a backend servicing the API TripleBlind presents to customers to use our privacy preserving technologies. You will also interface with the internal team building the web interface and user experience.

 

If you are local to Kansas City, then you're welcome to work out of our offices in The Plaza. Otherwise, we're open to US-based remote folks.

In this role you will...

• Create the and maintain the API interface for our customers.
• Scale the system to support high availability enterprise customers.
• Build thoughtful designs, useful documentation and thorough tests.
• Become part of a team of highly experienced engineers and designers.
• Collaborate using Github as part of an Agile development team.
• Use Docker containers for shipping to the major cloud platforms.
• Learn about cutting edge encryption.

You may fit this role if you...

• Know Django and how to get the best performance out of it.
• Understand how API design can make a product great.
• Have experience with Django Rest Framework (nice to have but not required)
• Like the pace of a startup - or want to learn what that means!
• Prefer finding solutions to problems, not just being told them.
• Play well with others. Building a business is a team sport.

TripleBlind is a distributed team. We're headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. If you're local to KC, you're welcome to work out of our offices at The Plaza. Otherwise, you'll join our remote workforce and can work from anywhere you like. We have a good, remote-first culture that you'll love
