The Division of Digital Health Innovation within the Center for Collaborative and Interactive Technologies (CCIT) is a multidisciplinary group seeking to apply the best evidence, education, and technology to improve human health. As part of the CCIT team, your work will make direct impacts on patients and healthcare professionals, improving the quality, efficiency, and equity of healthcare delivered at Baylor College of Medicine and across the world.
The Senior Software Engineering and Programming Associate will be responsible for planning, developing, testing, and maintaining the Center’s portfolio of Djando web apps, infrastructure, and other technical products. This position will take direction from the CCIT Director and the Senior Manager and will provide mentorship and guidance for junior staff. This position will be expected to operate with limited oversight while working directly with users and stakeholders. Opportunities to contribute to big data projects, mobile apps, and clinical technologies may be available, depending on the developer’s interests. To ensure success, the candidate should continuously seek to learn and grow professionally while delivering high-quality, on-schedule products.
As a developer in our group, expect to meet the team, be introduced to one or more of our major projects, check out code, and join a sprint in your first week. In your first month, you will have shipped a significant feature and taken responsibility for a project (with support from the team). As you become familiar with the project portfolio, you’ll join projects at all stages, from scoping and ideation to implementation.
This position is eligible to work fully remote.
