Who we are

Rockstardevelopers, founded in Mannheim in 2015, additional offices in Stuttgart and Munich. We are a software developer with experience from hundreds of individual projects for enterprise and medium-sized customers.

Short routes, honest feedback, no political games. No hierarchy levels between you and the people making decisions.

Your tasks

Setting up and operating cloud infrastructure (AWS, partly Azure) in enterprise and regulated environments
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
Share cloud architecture – costs, security, scaling
Automation, monitoring/observability, troubleshooting of time-critical incidents
DevOps culture: close collaboration with dev teams, security and product owners
Develop productively with AI tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor)

Most people come to one of the offices one or two days a week. There is no coercion. At the customer's site only for individual appointments every few weeks.

Where you end up

Depending on the project: large corporations such as Deutsche Bahn / DB Systel, the public sector (Federal Employment Agency, ITZBund, Bundesdruckerei) as well as enterprise and medium-sized customers - the cloud and platform topics in each case.

What you bring with you

Senior level. Our customers need people who deliver and work independently from day one.

AWS in depth – architecture and operations (ideally AWS certification: Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer)
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (or CloudFormation), Docker, Kubernetes
CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions; Git, agile working
Linux and network and security basics
Scripting: Python, Bash or Go

Advantageous: IAM (One Identity, Keycloak), Cloud Security, Monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus), Apache Kafka, Azure or GCP.

You don't have to be able to do everything. It is important that you quickly find your way into new environments. German at C1 level or higher.

AI tools are mandatory, not a bonus

Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor: You have to be able to work productively with this. Not because we want to be hip, but because our customers expect it and that's how we work. If you think AI tools are hype and prefer to type everything yourself: wrong company. Internally, we invest in your AI skills.
