Description: As an experienced PLC Engineer you are responsible for designing, programming and testing control software for wind turbines, solar energy systems and battery storage (BESS). You translate functional requirements into workable PLC logic, implement systems in Codesys and WAGO and provide integration with protocols such as Modbus and OPC UA. You spend approximately 50% of your time on engineering, 30% on implementation and commissioning and 20% on testing and support. You carry out commissioning on location, provide incidental after-sales support and work independently as well as in multidisciplinary teams of 3-6 engineers. You use tools such as Git and write supporting scripts in Python or C# where necessary. You directly contribute to reliable, safe and efficient energy systems within the energy transition.
Job content
- You design and program PLC software for wind turbines, solar energy systems and battery storage according to functional design.
- You implement control logic in Codesys and WAGO, including integration of Modbus and OPC UA communication.
- You carry out commissioning, commissioning and functional tests on site and resolve faults quickly on site op.
- You document technical solutions, manage version control with Git and develop supporting scripts in Python or C#.

Job requirements
- You have at least five years of experience as a PLC or automation engineer with demonstrable projects in industrial environments.
- You translate functional requirements into clear functional designs and write executable specifications for PLC implementation.
- You master Codesys and WAGO; experience with Siemens, Modbus, OPC UA and commissioning is required.
- You work in a structured manner, document carefully and communicate clearly with electrical engineers, automation specialists and customers.

- A salary between €4,500 and €6,000 gross per month, appropriate to your experience and responsibility.
