Description: At Helen Sähköverko, we ensure a smooth everyday life for the people of Helsinki. We maintain and develop Helsinki's electricity network efficiently and make sure that the needs of the growing and electrifying city can be met in the future as well. In order to reach our ambitious goals and ensure the development of a high-quality electricity network, we are now looking for a permanent employment relationship with an analytical and development-minded business analyst whose work focuses on reporting the structure of the electricity network, classifying network assets and developing the quality of network data and reporting processes. As a business analyst, you are responsible for processing, analyzing and reporting structural data of the electricity network. You will develop the classification of online assets and ensure that the information in the online information system forms a reliable basis for business management, investment evaluation and regulatory reporting. Your main tasks include generating, analyzing and reporting structural data of the electricity network, as well as developing and maintaining the classification of network assets. You are responsible for the quality assurance of online asset investment and demolition data and for monitoring the correctness, comprehensiveness and consistency of online data. You develop reporting logics, data models and automatic checks and identify deviations related to data quality, find out their causes and promote the implementation of corrective measures. You get to influence how online information is produced, classified and utilized throughout the entire lifecycle of the online asset. We expect from you a university degree suitable for the position and an analytical and systematic work record. You have experience in data processing, reporting or data quality management and you know SQL. In addition, you are interested in developing your Python skills. You are able to visualize large datasets and the dependencies between them, and to identify errors and deviations in datasets. You work on your own initiative, translate the development needs you identify into practical solutions and work smoothly in cooperation with various stakeholders. We consider experience in power networks, the energy sector or technical asset management as an advantage, as well as knowledge of the Trimble NIS network information system. We value expertise in Azure Databricks, Power BI, Python or geospatial data solutions, as well as experience in official or other regulatory-based reporting. In addition, the task will benefit from an understanding of data models, data quality management and reporting automation, as well as experience in developing processes, guidelines or data ownership. We offer you a meaningful task in the development of Helsinki's electricity network and society's critical infrastructure. You get to work with extensive and business-critical datasets and build operating methods that improve the long-term usability of electricity network assets. You work as part of the strategic asset management and regulation complex in close cooperation with network development, asset management, finance and analytics experts. You get support from an experienced network of experts and the opportunity to develop your skills at the interface of electricity network business, regulation and modern data analytics. We believe in cooperation, continuous development and the courage to renew operating methods, and we offer an environment where you can truly influence and leave your mark on the electricity grid of the future. With us, you get to do work that has meaning: together we build a smoother everyday life and a better city for future generations. Is there anything left to think about?
