Salary: $80,638 - $89,598
This is an early stage role with an experienced, remote-first founding team (we’ve founded and exited multiple companies, led large teams at Stripe).
We’re looking for our Head of Engineering (in the range between Tech Lead up to CTO) who can lead our organization, product architecture and technical strategy.
Today we’ve got a team of four contract engineers. You’ll take over the eng leadership from our co-founder Sam.
Our stack is React/Next on the frontend with GraphQL/Hasura, Django, and PostgreSQL on the backend.
We value speed, keen product and business sense, and those who are happy to jump in the details while keeping the team focused on the right things.
Our objectives for the role
Deliver a great product to our clients
Lead technical architecture and delivery with end to end responsibility for product quality
Work across product and customer teams, as well as our customers themselves, to ship the right product in an iterative way
Consistently make the right trade-offs that balance short-term and long term-needs
Build an effective org
Take over our existing offshore engineering team, and design the talent strategy for moving forwards (ie, our mix of onshore/offshore, etc.)
Create a high performance culture in which each team member feels like they can do their best work
Develop and grow our company
Shape our overall company strategy

We’re selecting for
Strong product sense with ability to conceptualize, architect, and build
Strong engineering skills across the full stack
Skillful ways of building and managing teams
6+ years of experience, preferably in startups / B2B / SaaS
