We are looking to hire Full Stack Software Engineers in the United States to be part of a green field product. The product is for an intelligence gathering and analysis platform, collecting complex data sets using a combination of open source and in house tooling to provide meaningful information to our penetration testing teams. We're looking for a range of skills and knowledge, as the project spans the disciplines of security and development. The existing services use Django Python and React JavaScript being hosted upon AWS, with many more services to build.

 

Responsibilities

At OccamSec, we're looking for developers who have an appetite for learning, an interest in cyber security and strong communication skills. You will be taking part in designing and implementing solutions and tooling for the intelligence gathering platform, with strong collaboration between the penetration and engineering teams to ensure the tools built are effective and provide meaningful information for our assessment teams in the field.

 

Desired Experience / Skills

Due to the nature of the security industry tooling, while the main development languages at OccamSec are Python and Javascript, there will be times where open source tools written in other languages will be required to be integrated into the system. Interest in picking up or experience with different languages is therefore a plus.

Experience with the following or similar technologies:

  • Python (Django Rest Framework)
  • JavaScript (React)
  • AWS (EC2/Lambda) & Heroku
  • SQL & Graph Databases

Technological stacks for each module will be decided by requirements, so experience in any of the following will be beneficial:

  • Relational and NoSQL databases (Postgres, ArangoDB, ElasticSearch, Cassandra, etc)
  • Experience with a range of programming languages
  • Experience with message processing and queueing systems
  • Experience using penetration testing tools (Metasploit, ZAP, NMAP, etc)
