Are you an analytical person with knowledge of data processing who wants to develop the medical quality register field in Norway?

Section for medical quality registers at St. Olav's hospital is looking for an employee in a 100% position within reporting/data analysis/statistics. National medical quality registers contain information that should contribute to equal, high-quality treatment at all hospitals. The registers are also used in  research and management of the health services. The field is developing rapidly. Automated data capture from patient records to registers is one of several exciting investment areas.
The section is organizationally added to the Department at St. Olav's hospital and consists of the secretariats of 10 national quality registers and the regional service environment for medical quality registers in Central Norway. The section has over 30 employees and an interdisciplinary environment. The employee will work in a team which, among other things, will assist our quality registers in analyzing and making relevant results available in an efficient manner, in the first instance specifically for the Norwegian Heart Infarction Register.

Tasks

• Analyze register data and prepare statistics and reports
  
• Contribute to the development of interactive reporting solutions
  
• Contribute to the automation of annual reports and other reports
  
• Contribute to developing methodology to ensure good data quality
  
• Develop visual presentation and educational presentation of data
  
• Prepare reports adapted to clinical quality improvement work at various hospitals

• Knowledge of other statistical tools (SPSS and Stata), databases, other technologies (especially SQL, RShiny and LaTeX) and tools (PowerBI and GitHub) will be an advantage
  
• Ability to handle and analyze large amounts of data
  
• Ability to work analytically, efficiently and systematically
  
• Experience with analysis of health data will be an advantage advantage
  
• Ability to communicate well in Norwegian, both orally and in writing
  
• Experience with teaching and teamwork is emphasized.
