About you

You are an innovative problem solver who loves responsibility, wants to challenge yourself and grow daily as a person and developer. You're used to solving complex problems and love improving our infrastructure one day, then diving deep into code the next and creating new features that make our users happy. When the graphs point to 100% uptime, your heart beats an extra beat, especially if the day before, thanks to good teamwork, you managed to prevent something from going wrong.

You have good knowledge of Python, MySQL, Unix-based environments and understanding of user interfaces (Javascript/HTML). Extra merit is knowledge of SMTP, NodeJS, MongoDB, Puppet and Ruby.

A typical day with us can look like this:
We have received some larger customers and expect a sharp increase in mail sent. You accept the challenge of ensuring that our current environment can handle the increase and continued growth. First, you analyze the data we have in New Relic and Elasticsearch and come up with a proposal for what needs to be done. After playing around with the proposal, you come to the conclusion that the servers can handle the load, but the Python code may need some optimization. You dive into the code and evaluate the flows, find some bottlenecks that you fix and deploy before going home for the day.
