What we are looking for

· Solid experience with Python and a backend framework oriented to relational ORM (Django ideally, or equivalent with the ability to adapt quickly).

· Experience with Django REST Framework or a similar REST framework (serializer design, authentication, permissions, pagination).

· Experience with modern React; We strongly appreciate if you have already worked with Next.js App Router and Server Components.

· TypeScript with strict typing — without resorting to any to avoid thinking about the real type of the data.

· Good testing practices on both sides: pytest (backend) and Vitest/React Testing Library (frontend).

· Performance criteria in relational databases: understand what an N+1 is and how to avoid it before it reaches production.

· Comfort working with Git in PR/code review flow.

· Fluent Spanish; technical English to read documentation.

· Active use of AI tools for development (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) — in the team they are a regular part of the daily workflow.

UWIGO, developed by Informat, is an ERP for Chilean companies that integrates accounting, electronic billing, treasury and remuneration. It currently combines a backend in Django with a new architecture based on BFF and a frontend in Next.js/React.

The role

We are looking for a Full Stack profile that can function in both the backend Django/DRF and the frontend Next.js/React. It is not necessary to be an expert in both from day one, but it is necessary to have experience and technical criteria to work in both worlds, understanding how they relate to each other. The work will be distributed between maintaining and extending the main backend and its BFF layer, in addition to developing new functionalities in the frontend, with special focus on the integration between the two and considering aspects such as authentication, pagination and management of multiple databases.

Backend (Django + BFF)

· Design and build new endpoints in the BFF (bff/) following the already established pattern: ViewSet + get_queryset() scoped by company/user, serializers with explicit fields, OAuth2 authentication.

· Work directly on the main backend domain modules (accounting, electronic invoicing/SII, treasury, payroll, documents): features, bugs, performance improvements.

· Write efficient queries with the Django ORM — avoiding N+1, respecting routing between multiple databases that do not allow cross joins.

· Write and maintain tests with pytest-django, following the team's convention of not mocking the database.

Frontend (uwigo-frontend)

· Build new features in Next.js (App Router), deciding judiciously when to use Server Components and when to use ClientComponents.

· Integrate with the BFF through the already defined pattern: own Route Handlers as proxy (never direct fetch from the client to the backend) and Server Actions for mutations.

· Correctly type backend responses (DRF pagination, errors) — nothing of any.

· Write tests with Vitest + React Testing Library, placed next to each page.

Cross-cutting

· Participate in the design of the API contract between frontend and backend before implementing it, not after.

· Do cross code review — both backend and frontend PRs.

· Document relevant decisions and changes (docs/CHANGELOG.md in both repos).

· Previous experience with ERPs, accounting/tax systems or integrations with the SII (Chilean Internal Revenue Service).
