SafeNote is pioneering a transformative approach to venture capital analysis. We are developing an advanced web application that leverages cutting-edge technologies like OpenAI, LangChain, Pinecone, and integrates with various financial data/market data API vendors. Our platform aims to streamline the venture capital workflow by automating the generation of investment memos, organizing company pitches, and providing a comprehensive platform for analysts to access crucial data efficiently.

Our application is built on a robust backend infrastructure, primarily using Python and FastAPI, connected to a PostgreSQL database. The data is stored in an internal vector database, which is then utilized by generative AI models to auto-populate investment memos, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role in backend development.
• Proficiency in Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AI and ML integrations is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Job functions

1. Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration across multiple client engagements from definition phase through implementation.
2. Backend Development: Lead the design and implementation of the application's backend infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
3. Database Management: Oversee the design, maintenance, and optimization of our PostgreSQL database and internal vector database. Ensure data integrity, security, and efficient querying capabilities.
4. Integration with External APIs: Integrate various financial and market data APIs into our platform, ensuring seamless data retrieval and processing.

Conditions Desirable skills

1. Technical Expertise:
   • Proficiency in Python and web frameworks like Flask, FastAPI or Django.
   • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and experience with ORMs like SQLAlchemy.
   • Familiarity with vector databases.
   • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
2. API Integration:
   • Experience integrating third-party APIs, especially financial and market data APIs.
   • Understanding of RESTful services and GraphQL.
3. AI & ML Knowledge:
   • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and platforms like OpenAI, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
   • Experience with prompt engineering
4. Security:
   • Knowledge of security best practices, especially in web applications handling sensitive financial data.
   • Experience with OAuth, JWT, and other authentication and authorization methods.
5. DevOps & CI/CD:
   • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
   • Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or GitHub Actions.
