Description:
As a Technical Writer at Baseten, you will craft technical product documentation, tutorials, and other content for an audience of ML engineers. You’ll gain deep knowledge of ML models, inference optimization, and infrastructure and deliver that knowledge to our users in an approachable, engaging manner.

Write technical product documentation (tutorials, guides, references, and more) both individually and in collaboration with engineers as subject matter experts.

Own strategy for documentation — decide what to write and how to write it after developing an understanding of what users need.

Demonstrate proficiency in general software engineering skills to operate and improve our docs-as-code infrastructure.

Contribute technical content across non-documentation channels like our blog and model library.

Are resourceful and are happy to roll up your sleeves to get any job done. You can take the lead on initiatives and pull in the necessary resources when you get stuck.

Remote-first work environment. The Baseten team is welcome to work from wherever they want; fully remote, based in an office, or a mix of both. Today, our team (including our founding team) is spread across the United States, Canada, and Armenia. We have an office in downtown San Francisco and in Union Square NYC.

Quarterly in-person team summits. We get together as a team four times a year to plan, workshop, and most importantly, get to know each other better.

The annual salary range for California and New York is $100,000 to $130,000. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
