Description: You don't just want to administer Linux as a system administrator, but you want to decide for yourself what a modern open source IT landscape should look like?🚀 Then you get the freedom to do so here. Our customer is a growing, family-run technology company from Freiburg that develops hardware and software solutions for industrial image processing and automation. Today, our own systems are used in more than 15,000 machines worldwide. As a Linux system administrator, you strengthen an IT area that has been deliberately kept small and are given a corresponding amount of creative freedom. Instead of rigid corporate structures, you can expect short distances, direct exchange with management and the opportunity to actively shape technical decisions. The technological focus is consistently on Linux and open source. There will be exciting topics in the coming years: existing applications will be migrated to open source alternatives, cyber security and resilience will be further expanded and an internal Linux-based AI server will be continuously developed. If Linux is your professional home and you prefer to develop new solutions rather than just keep existing systems running, you can help shape an IT landscape here in the long term. Creative scope: Actively decide how the internal IT will develop in the areas of Linux, Open Source, Cyber Security, Resilience and Automation evolved. Exciting future projects: Work on open source migrations, expanding IT security and my own internal Linux-based AI server, among other things. Direct collaboration: Work closely with management and benefit from short decision-making processes and a lot of freedom in technical solutions. Flexible working: Use flexible working hours without fixed core working hours and usually work from home one day a week. Individually, more remote work may also be possible after consultation. 30 days of vacation: Benefit from 30 days of vacation and individual solutions if you need a longer break. Bonus: In addition to your fixed salary, you will receive an annual bonus depending on the company's success, which in successful years has already amounted to several thousand euros. Mobility: Use the subsidized Germany ticket, JobRad, company parking spaces, free charging of your electric car and pool vehicles for business appointments. Sport & Health: Benefit from Hansefit, a bouldering rock and a table tennis table directly on site as well as numerous activities organized by colleagues such as climbing, mountain biking or kayaking. Team & Events: Look forward to summer parties, Christmas parties, shared barbecue afternoons on the roof terrace as well as multi-day developer camps where new technologies and topics are deliberately tried out. Further development: Receive individually tailored training and a mentor from another area of the company as a personal sparring partner. Salary: Annual gross salary from €60,000 with willingness to pay significantly more depending on qualifications and experience. As a Linux system administrator, you not only keep existing systems running, but also develop the company's future IT landscape together with the team. Linux & Infrastructure: Responsible for and optimize the Linux system landscape as well as the associated network and IT infrastructure. Open Source: Consistently develop existing systems and support migrations from StanYour benefits
