Description: You will lead the technical architecture and implementation of web applications and services in Bethesda, MD. Responsibilities • Estimate project timelines and define technical requirements based on initial scope. • Architect and implement web projects using Django. • Assist front-end developers with template integration and maintain design integrity. • Integrate third-party content and services via APIs. • Collaborate with project leaders to ensure code quality and design fidelity. Required Skills • 5+ years of engineering experience building consumer web applications or services. • 5+ years of professional experience in Python and Django development. • Expertise in Python, Django, and responsive front-end design including Bootstrap. • Proficiency with JavaScript, jQuery, and D3.js. • Experience with Google Maps API for mapping applications. • Proficiency with databases including Oracle, MySQL, SQLServer, and PostgreSQL. • Experience with Git and version control workflows. • Experience with Unix/Linux environments. • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS. • Understanding of DevOps practices and tools. Preferred Skills • Knowledge of Perl and deployment frameworks. • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker. • Experience with responsive design principles.
