Leidos is looking for a Software Engineer to join a high performing agile team to support a nationally significant and fast-paced management programs. The Leidos team is focusing on full stack development of user interfaces, restful services, APIs, database scripting, AWS Cloud infrastructure, and integration of micro-services.

Primary Responsibilities

The Software Engineer will be responsible for software development activities both individually and as a member of the an agile team. The software engineer will actively participate in program increment planning and related team activities. The individual will analyze and study complex system requirements, use design software tools, provide support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques. The individual will use software engineering principles and standards to ensure that developed code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, fault tolerant, modular and reusable. The individual will provide software process management and control throughout the coding portion of the software development process. Additionally, the individual will promote code reuse and cross-program collaboration while reducing maintenance costs by creating common functions and shared actions for developers and testers.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar discipline and about 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of, exposure and/or experience working with software design patterns and Web Application Development.
• Knowledge of, exposure and/or experience using some of the following Programming Languages and tools: HTML5, Java, JavaScript, Python, PHP
• Familiarity with one or more of the following Development Frameworks: Vue, Django, SpringBoot, NodeJS, Oracle, SQL
• Must be willing to obtain a TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing front end user interface frameworks
• Demonstrated experience planning and presenting user interface designs
• Demonstrated experience with problem resolution to include organizing and structuring solutions to complex problems. This includes the ability to plan projects, meet objectives, develop contingencies, and produce schedules.
• Familiarity with working in an agile environment
• Familiarity with GIT standards
• Familiarity with working on Full Stack Development
