Description: We are seeking a Senior Python RESTful API Engineer for a 12-month contract position based in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust API solutions while working with data governance and database systems in an agile environment. Responsibilities • Design and develop RESTful APIs using Python • Integrate APIs with data governance platforms and enterprise systems • Develop and optimize SQL queries and relational database schemas • Implement data governance workflows and processes • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile (Scrum or Kanban) workflows • Automate job scheduling and data pipeline tasks • Troubleshoot and debug applications in Linux/Unix environments Qualifications • Required • 5+ years of professional software development or data engineering experience • Proficiency in Python development with REST API integration • Advanced SQL knowledge and relational database design/modeling • Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) • Proficiency with Linux/Unix command-line interfaces • Experience with AutoSys job scheduling • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience • Preferred • Experience with Collibra Data Governance Center
