We're looking for a Senior Python Engineer to design, build, and scale the backend systems that power our products. You'll own services end to end — from architecture and API design through to deployment and monitoring — and work closely with product, data, and DevOps teams. Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs in Python
- Lead technical design discussions and make sound architectural decisions
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and champion engineering best practices
- Review code and mentor junior and mid-level engineers
- Optimise application performance, reliability, and security
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, observability, and production support
- Stay current with the Python ecosystem and help evolve our tech stack
