Description:
Your tasks- Conducting high-speed characterization measurements in the GHz range on TFLN PICs and photodiodes
- Conducting experimental verifications and statistical analyzes to determine performance parameters
- Developing, setting up and optimizing optical and RF test setups including probe station configuration and calibration
- Developing Python, LabVIEW and MATLAB tools for measurement automation, data acquisition and data analysis
- Participation in the hybrid photodiode-PIC integration from design coordination to validation and packaging
- Feedback of measurement results into design, manufacturing and technology roadmap
- Planning and prioritization of characterization campaigns
- Coordination of external suppliers, service providers and research partners
- Support of junior engineers and technicians during tests, Data acquisition and analysis
- Ensuring laboratory safety and documenting methods, code and results
Your profile- Master's degree or doctorate in electrical engineering, photonics or related field
- At least five years of relevant experience in industry or research, of which at least one year in high-speed photonic testing in the GHz range
- Knowledge of LNOI component physics and applications in high-speed modulation, detection and RF signal integrity
- Hands-on experience with TFLN, photodiode characterization and hybrid photonic-electronic integration
- Experience with VNAs, high-speed oscilloscopes, optical spectrum analyzers, RF probes and tunable lasers
- Knowledge in calibration procedures for optical and RF systems
- Very good knowledge of Python; LabVIEW and MATLAB knowledge is an advantage
- Experience with PIC tests, probe station measurements, optical alignment and optoelectronic commissioning
- Very good knowledge of English
- Knowledge of German is an advantage
