Job description

- Setting up, supporting and further developing RF test systems and measurement stations
- Carrying out high-frequency measurements on mobile radio and transceiver systems
- Calibration, commissioning and optimization of RF test setups
- Analysis and evaluation of Measurement results
- Error analysis and root cause investigations on test systems and test items
- Support with extensive RF measurement campaigns
- Automation of measurement processes using Python
- Further development of existing test and measurement environments
- Close collaboration with development, validation and laboratory management
- Documentation and visualization of test results

Profile

- Study or further technical training in electrical engineering, communications engineering, high frequency technology or comparable Specialization
- Good knowledge of radio frequency technology (RF)
- Experience in dealing with RF measuring devices and laboratory setups
- Understanding of mobile communications and transceiver architectures
- Knowledge of the most important RF components:
- PLL (Phase Locked Loop)
- Mixer
- LNA (Low Noise Amplifier)
- PA (Power Amplifier)
- Filter
- Understanding of Signal processing and frequency conversion:
- Up-conversion
- Down-conversion
- Modulation methods
- Frequency mixing
- Ability to interpret Bode diagrams and transfer functions
- Good knowledge of RF cables, their properties and relevant parameters
- Experience in analyzing circuits and measurement errors
- Python knowledge for test automation and measurement data evaluation
- Ideally experience in the field Mobile communications standards and RF validation
