This assignment offers a technical challenge in which you play an important role in a European project. You work closely with a multidisciplinary team. You contribute to sustainable and reusable software solutions. This is how you make an impact on the development of advanced data services. Background assignment: The assignment is part of the European EOSC EDEN project, aimed at improving data services within the research infrastructure. The goal is to develop the Metadata Transformation Service (MTS), a reusable service for transforming and validating metadata. This service integrates with a registry that manages authoritative information about metadata schemas and crosswalks. Job description: You design and implement the Metadata Transformation Service in Python, including a modular engine for different metadata schemas and versions. You will develop a REST API for transformation, validation and discovery of supported schemas. You also ensure integration with existing technologies and the Metadata Schema and Crosswalk Registry. You are responsible for setting up automated tests, CI/CD workflows and documenting the technical aspects. You also support the development and maintenance of other software within the project and you work together with various project partners. The requirements are knockout criteria.
