Description: We are looking for someone who can quickly settle into a manufacturing business, create structure and make the planning work in everyday life. Here is an assignment where your experience makes a difference from the start, with the opportunity to work as an employed consultant via Effektiv or as an interim consultant through your own company.

About the company

Our client is an established company in Västerås with its own production and customized deliveries. Here, materials, capacity and work steps need to interact in order for the right product to be ready at the right time.

You get a central role close to the daily operations and work together with colleagues in areas such as production, warehouse and order management.

What does the role offer?

As a production planner, you are responsible for planning and following up production based on customer orders, available resources and delivery times. You create an overview of what needs to be done, in what order and with what conditions.

You follow the work forward and adapt the planning when the needs change. The role requires you to be confident in prioritizing, catching deviations and finding solutions together with relevant colleagues. You also contribute to clear working methods and to ensuring that the information in the business system is current and reliable.

Your main tasks include:

•    Create, update and follow up production plans based on order status and delivery needs.

•    Plan and prioritize production orders with regard to capacity and material availability.

•    Follow up lead times, identify bottlenecks and handle deviations that affect production.

•    Coordinate information between production, stock, purchasing and order management.

•    Work continuously in business systems and ensure that planning documents and order information are up to date.

•    Identify improvements in planning processes, routines and production flows.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has solid experience of production planning in manufacturing operations. You are used to working independently and have an understanding of how material supply, capacity, lead times and priorities affect the entire production flow.

You have previously worked actively in business systems and feel confident using systems and data as support in planning and follow-up. You also understand the importance of functioning processes and clear communication in order for planning to last all the way through to production.

As a person, you are prestigeless, driven and solution-focused. You take the initiative, ask questions and find out what you need to move forward. When the conditions change, you keep the overview, make clear priorities and collaborate to find a way forward.

To be successful in the role you need:

•    Have many years of experience in production planning within manufacturing operations.

•    Be used to independently planning, prioritizing and following up on production.

•    Have a good understanding of production processes, material flows and capacity planning.

•    Have good system skills and experience working in business systems.

•    Work in a structured manner and be able to translate information into concrete plans and priorities.

Experience with Pyramid is a plus, as is previous work with developing planning routines and streamlining production flows.
