Base360.ai is the AI operating system for short-term rental businesses, helping property managers run their operations on autopilot.

Born out of The Flex, a short-term rental operator that scaled to an eight-figure business using its own software, Base360.ai is now launching as a standalone platform for short-term rental operators worldwide.

We bring reservations, guest communication, pricing, payments, cleaning, maintenance, and reporting into one platform—helping operators automate manual work, reduce costs, increase revenue, and scale their portfolios.

We're looking for an ambitious Product Engineer who wants to turn real customer problems into intuitive, reliable software. You'll work closely with founders, designers, and operators to identify what matters, build solutions, and improve them based on how people use them.

What You'll Build

As a Product Engineer, you'll help shape and scale Base360.ai across the entire short-term rental lifecycle.

You'll build customer-facing features, operational dashboards, automation engines, AI-powered workflows, and integrations that help property managers grow without increasing their workload at the same rate.

Your work will connect what users see with the systems behind it—from a guest’s check-in experience to the workflows coordinating reservations, cleaning, payments, and owner reporting.

Your Mission

Understand Customer Problems

Work directly with property managers and internal teams to understand their workflows, identify friction, and decide which problems are worth solving.

Build Products End-to-End

Take features from idea and prototype through frontend, backend, integrations, testing, and deployment. Own the complete experience and how it performs in production.

Create Intuitive User Experiences

Work with designers to make complex short-term rental operations easy to manage. Build interfaces that help users complete tasks quickly and confidently.

Create Powerful Automations

Build event-driven workflows that eliminate repetitive work—from scheduling cleaning after a booking to sending check-in instructions and generating owner statements.

Develop AI-Powered Features

Use LLMs and AI agents to automate guest communication, triage maintenance requests, support pricing decisions, and help operators manage their portfolios more efficiently.

Connect the Ecosystem

Build reliable APIs and integrations with platforms including Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, Google, and other partners across the short-term rental ecosystem.

Solve Real Operational Problems

Build solutions for:

• Real-time reservation and availability synchronization

• Dynamic pricing intelligence

• Smart lock access and key management

• Automated guest communication across channels

• Guest check-in and upsell journeys

• Operational forecasting

• Cleaning and maintenance automation

• Owner reporting and financial workflows

• AI-powered monitoring and alerts

Measure and Improve

Use customer feedback, product usage, and operational results to evaluate what you ship. Improve features based on adoption, time saved, fewer errors, and better user outcomes.

Build for Scale

Make sound technical decisions that balance delivery speed, maintainability, security, and reliability as more operators and properties join the platform.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You Have

• Strong experience building and shipping production software

• The ability to work across frontend and backend systems

• Experience with React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, or similar technologies

• Strong understanding of APIs, databases, integrations, and cloud architecture

• A product mindset and curiosity about why users need a feature

• Good judgment around usability, scope, and technical trade-offs

• The ability to turn an ambiguous problem into a practical, working solution

• Confidence working directly with customers, designers, and founders

• The ability to work independently and own outcomes

• Curiosity about AI, automation, and operational efficiency

• A bias toward shipping, learning, and iterating

Bonus points for experience with:

• Short-term rentals, hospitality technology, or property management systems

• Multi-tenant SaaS platforms

• Marketplace businesses and booking channel integrations

• AI agents and workflow automation

• Product analytics and experimentation

• Event-driven architectures

• You've shipped features that property managers actively use

• Core short-term rental workflows are automated through products you've built

• AI-powered features become part of customers’ everyday operations

• Customer feedback and usage data consistently inform your product decisions
