Your mission

- You develop, train and evaluate machine learning and GenAI models for productive Enterprise applications in industries such as insurance, finance and manufacturing & automotive and accompany them on their path from the idea to productive use.
- You design and implement data preparation, feature engineering, training and inference pipelines and ensure a stable transition from PoCs to MVPs to productive AI solutions.
- You integrate AI components, APIs and services into existing applications and platforms, optimize performance, Scalability and fault tolerance and ensure reliable operation.
- You work closely with data scientists, MLOps/LLMOps engineers and architects to convert prototypes into resilient and maintainable production solutions.
- You are responsible for quality engineering through testing, reproducibility, versioning of code, models and data as well as comprehensible technical documentation and establish monitoring, observability and drift detection for AI systems.
- You support customer projects, RFPs and RFIs through technical consulting, effort estimates and structuring of work packages and - depending on your seniority - take ownership of subsystems, technical workstreams, engineering standards, workshops and communication with customers.

Your skillset

- You have very good knowledge of Python and modern software engineering, including clean code, testing, debugging, Git and code Reviews.
- You have practical experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or scikit-learn as well as with model training, evaluation, optimization and productive deployment.
- You have experience in developing data pipelines and feature engineering processes with technologies such as pandas, Spark, Beam or comparable toolchains and understand the importance of data quality.
- You develop APIs and services (e.g. B. REST, FastAPI or Flask) and know the integration of AI solutions in enterprise environments as well as modern cloud and cloud-native architectures on Azure, GCP or AWS.
- You have knowledge of containerization and deployment with Docker and ideally Kubernetes and have experience or a solid understanding of MLOps/LLMOps, monitoring, versioning, retraining and productive AI operating models.
- You have experience or great interest in generative AI and large language models, for example in the areas of RAG, embeddings, vector stores, prompt engineering and guardrails, and communicate fluently German and very good at English and can communicate technical topics to customers and stakeholders in an understandable way.
