At KONGSBERG you get to take part in testing and verifying some of the world's most advanced missile systems. We are looking for a test engineer who wants to combine software, hardware and system understanding in the development of technology used by defense customers all over the world. Therefore, we are looking for you who are curious, proactive and solution-oriented. You like challenges and solving complex tasks in collaboration with others.

Missiles & Aerostructures has a software department responsible for both development, system integration and functional testing of missiles. The team that works with system integration and testing ensures that our missile systems are error-free and 100% reliable. Now we are looking for you who want to get involved in this. In this role, you get to help ensure the quality of some of the world's most advanced missile systems, while at the same time you will work in a strong professional environment that integrates software and hardware in advanced test environments. The working day alternates between practical work in the lab, where you set up and carry out tests and troubleshoot at system level, and analytical work with planning, result analysis and documentation. You will also use Python to automate processes and further develop test and analysis tools.

We are a close-knit team with different experience and expertise, but with a common interest in technology and problem solving. At us, we work closely together, share knowledge and create results together, while also prioritizing a good social environment. Among the activities we do together outside of work, we can single out training, gaming and disco golf.

Work tasks 

• Functional test and system test of our missile systems
• Troubleshooting of missile systems
• Configuration of test setups in the labs
• Analysis of test results
• Test planning and documentation of tests
• Opportunity to participate in tests at customers in other countries

Desired qualifications 

• Higher education in technology (software, electronics, automation or similar)
• Experience with programming (C++, Python)
