Description:

At Menhir Technologies we are looking for a Junior AI Engineer who is eager to learn and build a real product. You will work closely with senior engineers to take AI use cases and conversational agents from prototype to production, with a clear plan for mentoring and growth.

Tasks

• Participate in the full cycle of an AI solution: understanding the problem, data preparation, experimentation, evaluation, documentation and support in deployment.
• Collaborate with Product, Data and Engineering to convert requirements in work histories and define success metrics.
• Prepare and ensure data quality (cleaning, validations, sampling) and support labeling processes.
• Contribute to the evaluation of models and agents (offline/online tests, A/B, validation sets) and to the definition of basic guardrails.
• Help implement observability: metrics, logs and alerts to detect degradations and drift.
• Run retraining and versioning playbooks, record experiments, and produce clear summaries of results.
• Write simple and useful documentation; participate in code reviews and ask for feedback frequently.
• Keep up to date with good AI/ML practices and propose small improvements in processes or code quality.

Requirements

🧠 Requirements:

• Good foundations of programming in Python (data structures, basic testing, package management).
• Knowledge of control versions with Git/GitHub and exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions).
• Fundamentals of REST API design and integration.
• Demonstrated interest in AI agents and their life cycle (experimentation, evaluation, deployment and monitoring).
• Ability to work with data: queries, transformations and validations (thinking). analytical).
• Advanced English (documentation, technical reading and basic communication with clients/team).
• Demonstrable academic excellence.

• Notions of API development with FastAPI.
• Familiarity with agent frameworks (LangChain and LangGraph).
• Interest/experience in orchestration of ETLs (e.g., with workflows).
• SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL / Supabase).
• Basic knowledge of cloud (preferably GCP) or Kubernetes (k8s).
