Description:

The System Integration department in the Subsonic Missile Programs business unit currently consists of 76 employees divided into four subgroups. For the GNC&SIMEN group, I am now looking for a new manager with an interest in engineering professional development and personnel follow-up.

GNC (Guidance, Navigation & Control) & SIMEN (SIMulation ENvironment) currently have 14 employees with a background mainly in cybernetics, physics and mathematics. The main tasks are development and maintenance of missile algorithms for Flight Control and Navigation, as well as development and maintenance of our simulator products for use during test, verification and training of the JSM and NSM missile systems. The group is divided into teams with different focus and responsibilities, but tasks may cross paths. As a personnel manager, it is important to be able to familiarize yourself with the employees' work tasks and in the long term it will be possible to work operationally yourself in projects within the group's areas of responsibility. This may include maintenance and development of simulator models in, among other things, C++ or analysis of Flight Control, management and navigation using Matlab or Python.

As a group leader, you must be able to see who is suitable for which tasks, and where we need to increase capacity and expertise. Planning and organizing training will be a large part of everyday work, and knowledge of tools and subjects is therefore important. You will be responsible for recruitment, training, follow-up and general well-being within the group. At the same time, you become part of the management team in the department that works strategically to achieve the company's common goals.

The department assists the product organization and delivery projects with the development, analysis, testing and integration of world-class missile systems. We have highly educated and skilled system engineers with solid professional and product expertise, and experience that ranges from newly graduated to senior. I am looking for a manager with engineering expertise and a further desire to develop employees in the field and product.

Missiles & Aerostructures (DMA) is a division of KONGSBERG with leading expertise in the development, production and delivery of advanced missile systems and high-tech structures for defense and aerospace customers.
