Description: Within our engineering consulting company, we support the flagships of high technology and aeronautics in the development of complex and intelligent systems. As part of the strategic developments of a major player in aerial robotics, we are looking for an Embedded C++ / Python Developer Engineer (State Machine, Sensors and Estimation).

You will join the R and D teams to design, implement and make embedded functions more reliable

Your Missions:
In direct collaboration with the R and D teams for automation, signal processing and image quality, you will participate in the complete cycle of the embedded software:

1. Design and Implementation (BUILD)
New Features: Specify, document and develop new embedded functions (finite state machines, sensor integration, estimation algorithms) in accordance with the real-time constraints of the autopilot.

C++ / OOP architecture: Structure a robust, scalable embedded code that complies with the principles of object-oriented programming.

R and D collaboration: Exchange daily with researchers and engineers automation engineers to translate theoretical models into embedded software components.

2. Test, Quality and Maintenance (RUN)
Maintenance and Tests: Ensure corrective and evolutionary maintenance of on-board functions as well as the writing and execution of drone test benches.

Log Analysis and Debug: Analyze flight data (logs), identify malfunctions and correct complex anomalies.

Quality and Peer Review: Carry out code reviews, monitor software quality indicators and guarantee compliance with development standards embedded.
  
Technical skills required:
Embedded Development: Proven experience (3 to 5 years) in embedded software development applied to robotics, autonomous systems or aeronautics.

C++ and OOP (Confirmed): Excellent command of the modern C++ language and the principles of Object Oriented Programming.

Python (Confirmed): Good command of Python for processing logs, scripting, tool prototyping and test automation.

Embedded Job: Practice of finite state machine concepts, sensor integration (IMU, GNSS, optics) and estimation/filtering notions.

Languages and Soft Skills:
Professional English: Mastery of technical English (written and oral) to write documentation and exchange in an R and D.

Curiosity and Proactivity: Ability to be proactive in the face of complex technical obstacles.

Rigour and Organization: Indispensable method in monitoring software quality and traceability of anomalies.

Team spirit: Comfort in collaborating fluidly with multidisciplinary experts (automation, vision, image quality).
