• In this role, you'll work in our IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. These centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

As a Software Developer you'll participate in many aspects of the software development lifecycle, such as design, code implementation, testing, and support. You will create software that enables your clients' hybrid-cloud and AI journeys.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Envision, design, and build the Software infrastructure that keeps the solutions running.
• Challenge ideas, identify problems and create efficient solutions.
• Develop flexible, maintainable, and scalable application components.
• Collaborate with development peers and lead the way staying up to date with tools and technology trends.

Successful candidates for these positions will work on-site at our IBM Client Innovation Center in Baton Rouge, LA. The IBM Client Innovation Centers are an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from one of our centers. Some travel is expected, and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site and may be approximately 40% of the time. You must live in or be willing to relocate to the state of the center you're assigned to within 30 days of starting with IBM.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Exposure to programming as a Python Developer
• Exposure to JavaScript (AngularJS, React, Vue.js) or/and JQuery, HTML, CSS
• Exposure to OO programming with Python
• Exposure to working with Web Application frameworks (Django/Flask/Pyramid)
• Exposure using Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) automation
