Background assignment: Making the Netherlands safer and keeping it safe. That is what you want to contribute to. You see the possibilities of new IT technology to achieve this goal. You also understand that new technology should not come at the expense of everything. The privacy of innocent citizens must of course be safeguarded and the use of AI must fit within ethical and legal frameworks.
The goal of your new team is to use capacity in monitoring and security more effectively and efficiently by applying state-of-the-art solutions in the field of computer vision. Your work will ensure that anomalous patterns can be detected faster and better to combat undermining crime. You will join a rotating team that has developed various computer vision applications. This team is in the transition from R&D to production and you are a key figure in this.
Your team falls under the DevOps department of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee. DevOps organizationally falls under the Information & Technology Directorate, within cluster IV of the CKMar staff. Within DevOps, various applications are being developed in the field of AI (computer vision and language models), robotics and 3D printing.
