Research in medium-sized companies rarely fails because they run out of ideas. It ends when the budget runs out. This is where you come into play: you sit down at the table with the developers, listen and turn your work into a project that is eligible for funding. You calculate it, formulate it and bring it through the testing center. The mandate belongs to you, as do the professional decisions.

That's exactly what fundloop is for. We support medium-sized companies in financing their research and development through the research tax allowance and have built our own software to support you in this work. You work 100 percent remotely, without a consultant above you and with a direct line to management.

Tasks

You advise companies on the content and structuring of their funding projects in research, development and innovation. In detail this means:

• Form funding projects: Cut a clearly defined project from what a company actually develops - technical novelty, scientific and technical uncertainty and work packages.
• Assess professionally: You assess early on whether a project is eligible for funding. Even if the answer is no.
• Check and calculate project costs independently: Personnel expenses, contract research and in-house work, plausibly derived and documented in accordance with the GoBD, with a view to a later audit.
• Communicate with the testing body: You communicate with the research allowance certification body in level 1 and answer their questions. The tax submission in Stage 2 is the responsibility of the client's tax advisor, with whom you work closely.
• Conduct mandates: Kickoff, interviews with developers and technicians, collect documents, keep appointments.

Qualification

• Completed studies in the field of natural sciences, technology or business.
• Research background - By talking to technicians you can see what is really new and what is well done routine.
• At least three years of experience with funding applications, such as research grants, ZIM, SME-innovative or EU programs. You know the difference between a beautifully written proposal and one that stands up to scrutiny.
• You see opportunities, actively address challenges and work towards solutions rather than managing problems.
• Independent and committed way of working. For us, remote means trust, so you structure your cases independently.
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written German, as applications, project descriptions and communication with authorities are written in German. English is an advantage.
