The data science platform that you are helping to build also runs on AWS and Kubernetes. 1 DATA SCIENTIST / ML ENGINEER (M/F/D) full-time/hybrid 2 days home office for our Guntramsdorf or 1020 Vienna location

YOUR ROLE

* Development, training and further development of ML models (e.g. demand and price forecasts in steel trading)

* Carrying out statistical data analyzes and data preparation and enrichment

* Building and maintaining data pipelines and data models for analytics and ML applications

* Participation in the cloud-based data science platform (AWS, Kubernetes)

* Direct communication and collaboration with the relevant business units

* Independent programming and productive use of the models (Python, R)

YOU BRING WITH

* Completed degree in data science, computer science, statistics or comparable experience

* Programming knowledge in R and/or Python

* Experience with databases and building data pipelines

* Sound understanding of statistical analysis

* Pragmatic approach to developing problem solutions

* Enthusiasm for using ML models in productive systems

* Enjoyment of interdisciplinary project work, Strong communication skills and a networked way of thinking

* Code ownership mentality and sense of responsibility for your code

* Strong knowledge of German and good English
