We are looking for a “Data Engineering Lead” to lead the corporate data platform in a multi-cloud environment, with a focus on Azure and support for Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role defines, leads, and scales the data engineering strategy for the region, ensuring a robust, governed, and scalable platform for advanced analytics, BI, and digital products across multiple countries.

3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering with experience handling large volumes of data.
Experience working with Azure Databricks.
Experience with data extraction, transformation, loading, and integration (ETL) processes.
Knowledge of data architecture, infrastructure, and cloud computing, preferably Azure.
Experience applying best practices in development and continuous integration.

Job Responsibilities

Design and optimization of data solutions: Design, build, and optimize end-to-end data solutions on Azure Databricks, ensuring performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

Data processing: Coordinate the operation of the various environments where data processing workflows run, ensuring they function correctly.

ETL and data integration: Extract, transform, and load data according to business needs, developing efficient integrations that enable the ingestion of the required information.

Continuous Integration: Create continuous integration flows that enable the effective validation of implemented developments and processes.

Mentoring: Mentor junior engineers, promoting best development practices and scalable solutions.

Continuous improvement: Propose and implement technological improvements to optimize data flows and solutions.

Key Challenges

Design and maintain efficient, scalable, and intuitive data structures.
Maintain good coding practices when developing solutions.
Processing growing volumes of data without causing uncontrolled increases in cloud costs.
Implementing data quality mechanisms without affecting processing speed.

Desirable Qualifications

Graduate degree or specialization in Data Engineering, Big Data, or Cloud Architecture.
