We are looking for a Data Engineer with minimum 5 years of experience in the position and with experience in the financial field. At 42Labs we value technical quality, clear communication and the ability to solve problems with judgment.

Experience and technical skills

• Proven experience in Databricks for development and operation of data pipelines.
• Mastery of SQL for modeling, transformations and query optimization.
• Experience with Python for ETL/ELT, automation and development of data components.
• Experience working with data in financial environments (management of business rules, traceability, reliability and/or quality requirements).
• Ability to design robust pipelines: scalability, error handling, versioning and maintainability.

At 42Labs, as Data Engineer, our goal is for data to flow with reliability and speed to enable analytics and business operations.

• Design, build and maintain data pipelines (batch and/or near real-time) for extraction, transformation and loading.
• Develop and optimize data models using SQL, ensuring semantic consistency, performance and scalability.
• Implement integrations with Databricks for data orchestration and processing, following good engineering practices.
• Create transformations and utilities with Python (ETL/ELT, validations, automation and tooling).
• Build quality gates and quality controls (validations, monitoring, fault tolerance) to guarantee data reliable.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications and ensure delivery.
• Monitor and continually improve the operation: query performance, pipeline stability and troubleshooting.
