About the position:

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with experience in the financial market to work on the development and evolution of analytical and predictive models, from design to production, with a focus on generating business value from data.

Responsibilities:

• Data analytics: Perform advanced statistical analysis to identify patterns, trends and insights in large volumes of financial data.
• Model development: create, validate and implement machine learning models for prediction, classification and optimization, applied to financial sector use cases (e.g. risk, credit, fraud, churn or pricing).
• Model life cycle: monitor experiments, versioning, deployment and monitoring of models, using good MLOps and MLflow practices.
• Databricks: develop, train and operationalize data models and pipelines on the Databricks platform.
• Programming in Python, SQL and Spark: develop efficient code in Python, SQL and PySpark for manipulating, cleaning and processing large volumes of data, and for implementing machine learning algorithms.
• Cloud: use cloud platforms for storing, processing and analyzing large volumes of data.
• Collaboration: work with multidisciplinary teams (business, data engineering, risk, product) to understand needs and propose data-driven solutions.
• Communication and mentoring: clearly presenting results to technical and non-technical audiences, as well as supporting the development of more junior data scientists.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist, at a senior level.
• Practical experience in projects in the financial market (banks, fintechs, insurance companies, payment methods, investments or similar).
• Practical experience with Databricks.
• Knowledge of MLflow or equivalent model lifecycle management tools.
• Advanced SQL.
• Spark and PySpark.
• Experience in data modeling.
• Strong command of statistics and data analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, TensorFlow or PyTorch).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms.
• Communication and teamwork skills.

Differences:

• Experience in regulated models (validation, explainability and governance of models).
• Knowledge in MLOps (CI/CD for models, drift monitoring).
