We’re looking for a Back-End Developer with experience building backends using Java and Spring Boot. We value people who enjoy solving real-world problems, continuously improve what they deliver, and communicate clearly.

Experience and Skills

Solid experience developing with Spring Boot (Java) and building backend services.
Practical knowledge of Python for developing components and integration logic.
Experience managing and exposing APIs, ideally with Apigee.
Experience working with Azure Functions, including scenarios with Python.
Understanding of API design concepts, service-level security, and backend best practices.

In this role as a Back-End Developer, you’ll work on developing and evolving backend services (APIs and business logic) that support critical systems, ensuring quality, scalability, and best practices. Responsibilities

As a Back-End Developer (Java/Spring Boot) at 42Labs, you’ll be part of teams that create and improve backend services for products that make a difference. Your focus will be on designing, building, and maintaining robust APIs, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability.

Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Design and consume APIs (REST or others) using best practices for integration.
Implement business logic, validations, and domain rules aligned with functional requirements.
Collaborate with the team to define architecture, contracts, and quality criteria.
Participate in code reviews, propose improvements, and uphold engineering standards.
Work end-to-end throughout the development cycle—analysis, development, deployment, and support—with a focus on results.
