As part of NIQ's Digital Shelf team, you will participate in the development and improvement of large-scale web data collection solutions. You will be supported by experienced engineers and will contribute to various projects around scraping, automation and data processing.
Your missions
- Develop and maintain Python crawlers using specialized frameworks and libraries.
- Contribute to the analysis and understanding of web and mobile APIs using tools such as Frida, mitmproxy, Charles Proxy or Burp Suite.
- Identify mechanisms that can limit automated access to data (JavaScript, browser detection, anti-bot protection, etc.) and participate in the improvement of our collection solutions.
- Implement monitoring and alert tools in order to quickly detect anomalies or collection failures.
- Work in collaboration with the product and engineering teams to ensure the quality and reliability of the data collected.
Profile sought
- You have a good foundation in Python and wish to deepen your skills on projects
- You have a strong interest in the web, HTTP protocols, APIs and automation.
- You know or wish to discover tools such as Requests, httpx, Scrapy, Playwright or Selenium.
- You are curious, autonomous and like to understand the technical functioning of systems.
- You have good analysis and problem-solving skills.
- You are comfortable in a collaborative environment and enjoy sharing knowledge.
Skills appreciated
The following skills are a plus, without being mandatory:
- Knowledge of anti-bot technologies and fingerprinting techniques.
- First experiences with scraping or automation projects.
- Notions of Linux and cloud environments (GCP preferred).
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes or distributed architectures.
