What you will do with us (Spoiler: it’s technically exciting!)

• Design and implement an efficient and scalable infrastructure: participate in the creation and deployment of critical infrastructures for our managed services offering, integrating hosting, connectivity to exchanges and market data management.

• Deploy robust and optimized solutions: work in varied environments (on-premises, colocation, cloud) in a global distributed infrastructure, meeting the requirements of high performance and minimum latency.

• Modernize our technology ecosystem: migrate existing services to an architecture based on microservices and containers (Docker, Kubernetes), while improving our deployment and integration stack.

• Guarantee platform reliability: automate maintenance tasks, set up real-time monitoring, perform proactive checks and ensure necessary updates and fixes.

• Strengthen the security of our systems: deploy innovative solutions to protect our hosted platforms and ensure their compliance with security standards, SOC2 in particular.

• Ensure compliance with processes: rigorously apply change management procedures (CAB, “4-eyes validation”, temporary access management).

• Share and promote best practices: actively participate in technology awareness, standardization of tools and methods, and collaborate with experts in an Agile and DevOps environment.

• Collaborate in an international setting: interact with teams spread across multiple time zones and work on global projects involving Horizon, its customers and partners.

Your essentials:

• The desire to work from Sunday to Friday inclusive in order to ensure optimal coverage for our customers,

• Linux systems administration (RHEL) and scripting (bash, python, Gitlab, Ansible).

• Python development

• CI-CD configuration and associated tools (e.g. Gitlab CI, ArgoCD or equivalent)

• Docker or Kubernetes deployments and configuration

• Use of a monitoring solution (ideally Datadog or equivalent)

• First experience with a Cloud service provider (ideally Azure)

• Knowledge in:

  • On-prem and Cloud architectures

  • Network: VLAN, IP routing, BGP, firewall (VPN, rules)

  • Alert systems and procedures

  • Agile and DevOps methodologies

Your superpowers (if you have them, we love them even more):

• Networking skills: VLAN, IP routing, firewall (VPN, rules)

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Cloud init)

• Good foundation in deployment or development of Python (Django) or Java (Spring, Quark us) applications

• PostgreSQL database administration

• Experience with Prometheus, InfluxDB, Telegraf or Grafana

• Experience in a “follow the sun” working model

• Knowledge of trading or financial application operations

• Knowledge of one or more security standards and SOC2 type audit processes

• Proficiency in written and spoken English is an asset
