As an AI engineer dealflow, you develop and are responsible for the product or tool with which we build our proprietary dealflow in the investment team in the DACH software and tech medium-sized companies. Your goal: identify and reach attractive companies and their shareholders at an early stage, ideally before an M&A advisor is hired or a broad sales process is started.

In doing so, you combine two worlds: AI/data skills and deal origination. You build the data, tool and reporting infrastructure on which market maps, outbound campaigns, potential investments and a scalable sourcing process are based. You will work closely with our FLEX Leadership Team, the Investment Team and the Data & AI Team and will receive a lot of ownership from day one to build a central function at FLEX.

• You build and are responsible for the AI product/tool continuously filling our origination funnel with software and technology companies in the DACH medium-sized sector. You continuously develop it and improve it iteratively.
• You develop the screening and prioritization logic for targets and systematically improve their hit quality.
• You expand automated data acquisition and enrichment so that targets are enriched with firmographics and ownership structures.
• You develop Logic and workflows to recognize intent signals and potential sales interest.
• You initiate the automated multichannel approach and further develop the underlying processes.
• You build dashboards and reports on funnels, activities and conversion as the basis of our sourcing and pipeline reviews.
• You evaluate new prospecting and sourcing tools and further develop approaches, sequences and our messaging library.

• You have programmed your own tools and automations that were used productively, not just prototypes and Demos.
• You have at least 2 to 3 years of experience building scalable data and AI-based products/tools.
• You develop independently in Python and deploy to production with Docker on Azure.
• You work routinely with relational and NoSQL databases and independently sets up sustainable data models.
• You know LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude) from practice and know how to get high-quality output from them (Evals).
• You already have experience in dealing with CRM data and know what is important in terms of data quality and structure. Knowledge of Pipedrive, agent systems and frameworks such as LangGraph is a plus.
• You think commercially: you understand why a target is relevant and measure yourself against results.
• You have successfully completed a degree in business informatics, data science, data analytics, computer science or a comparable MINT subject.
• You speak Fluent in German and English.
