  • Experience working with HTML, CSS & JavaScript
    • ES6-specific Features
    • Responsive web design and best practices
    • CSS and Preprocessors such as Sass or Less
    • BEM or similar methodologies
    • Flexbox or CSS Grid
  • Experience with modern content management systems
    • Knowledge of headless CMSs such as Contentful, Sanity, etc.
    • Experience with frontend frameworks such as Gatsby, Next.js, etc. to build websites with headless CMS data
  • Experience with web tracking tools
    • Knowledge of analytics tools such as Google Analytics
    • Google Tag Manager
    • UTM tags, tracking pixels, etc.
  • Experience working with popular web development tools:
    • NPM, Gulp, Webpack
    • Version control with Git & Github
  • Experience developing marketing websites following design directions
    • Good knowledge of basic design principles
    • Experience working with design tools like Sketch or Figma
    • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Excellent communication and people skills to thrive in a dynamic and diverse remote team

Job functions

As a Marketing Web Developer, you'll be working with the marketing and design teams to develop and maintain Gain's main website and other online properties. You will:

  • Work under our Marketing Manager to create new areas of the site and extend or redesign existing ones
  • Implement and configure campaign-related web technology such as tags, tracking pixels, and analytics in our web properties
  • Participate in architectural decision-making for these implementations
  • Collaborate with other front and back-end developers, designers, and the rest of the team to deliver well-architected and high-quality solutions
  • Fix bugs and performance problems
  • Write clean, readable, and testable code

Conditions Desirable skills

Pluses:

  • Experience with Angular (v1) or greater (or any other front-end framework with a uni-directional architecture like React + Redux or Vue)
  • Experience with Python and the Django web framework
